2 April 1890 — Paris | |
Wednesday. 2nd [April 1890]. We left Paris by 10 o’cl train & got to London at 6.30, Maria & Virginia with us. Pretty good crossing & no one ill. Left the others to bring the luggage & Henry & I went to 1 Q. Anne St at once in a hansom– We dined at 17 Cavendish Sqr with Blanche & Edw & Mama—being the first time we see them in their new house. It is very comfortable & pretty & Mama seems much happier than she was all alone at Langham House. Mr Burton was dining also there. Henry had a bad attack of face ache during dinner time & he asked Mr Burton to come & treat him tomorrow. | |
