14 April 1890 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Monday. 14th April [1890]. We left Canford by 11.15 train & the Pratts went by the same train. At Southampton a handsome girl got in whose face I seemed to know & it gradually dawned on me that Nelly Lindsay daughter of my friend Lady (Blanche) Lindsay so I spoke to her & found it was so. We got to town abt 3 & had luncheon– Henry dined with old Thompson Hankey & I went to bed & dined there. Ola sat with me in the evening. | |
