18 April 1890 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Friday. 18th April [1890]. Breakfast in bed & Mrs Burr called. Practised guitar. After lunch drove with Henry took him to Arundel Society meeting & then went on to see Lady Tavistock who was in & had a nice talk with her. Fetched Henry home. I went to tea with Blanche at No 17 & played accompaniments for her to sing. She came home with me & I gave her a shelf I had brought her from Venice. Ola went to the play. Henry dined with old John Murray a dinner of contributors to Murray’s Magazine to make the acquaintance of the new editor. I went to bed & there dined & read the New Quarterly. | |
