19 April 1890 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Saturday. 19th April [1890]. Up at 11. Practised the guitar. After lunch I drove out alone. Called on the Misses Duff Gordon who were at home– On to Lady Millais also at home & then home & walked round to see Blanche & played accompaniments for her. Henry, Ola & I dined at 25 Park Crescent. Nelly Alderson was there. I played guitar to Ola’s mandola—& initiated the family into the mysteries of “blue ruin” & left them playing when we came home. | |
