21 April 1890 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Monday. 21st April [1890]. Got up by 11. Practised guitar—read—& practised with Ola. Drove out after lunch—left Henry at his club & Ola & I went on paying visits. Called on Genl & Lady Dickson. She has been ill all the winter with influenza & its effects. The Genl very well & jolly. Called on Mrs Willy Hanson & saw her. Home abt 6. Rested—dressed & went to dine with Blanche, Edward & Mama & they took me to the Savoy Theatre to see Sullivan’s last piece “The Gondoliers”– Pretty light music and pretty scenery and dresses. I went to No. 17 to get some refreshment after the theatre. Home at ¼ 12. Henry had a lot of the Du Cane family to dine with him. | |
