Thursday. 15th May [1890]. Theo & Merthyr left & returned to Inwood by 2 o’cl train. Sir Wm Gregory came to lunch. Henry & I drove together & left a lot of cards. Henry & I dined with Mr Hambro & Mrs Currie & met Lady Agneta Montague & her girl, Sir Reginald Welby & a Mr Alsopp M.P. It was melancholy to me dining for the 1st time in poor Susan’s house. | |
