4 July 1890 — Park Gate House, Ham, Surrey | |
Friday. 4th [July 1890]. Got up late. Henry went off to town driving at 11.30. Read aloud to Ola “Beatrice” by Rider Haggard. Played the new guitar with Ola’s mandola acct. It was a drizzling day so we could not go out so with music & reading aloud we spent the day and to our surprise found it was past 8 when Henry returned from town so we dined late. Patience. | |
