Friday. 8th [August 1890]. Henry did not get up. I sat in my bedroom making out designs for d’oyleys for Blanche. News that Dss of Sermoneta has a boy born this morning. Cold day—winds gone to N.E. Miss Canning called. Drove out with Maria & Ola & called on Lady Eastlake who was not at home. Blanche & Edward & their small school boy Vere dined with me & Ola went to her own people. After dinner we all sat with Henry or in my bedroom. | |
