17 August 1890 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Sunday. 17th [August 1890]. Henry going on capitally. I went to church in Vere St with Eda & was aggravated by a sermon on Cardinal Newman who died last week & in whom as he seceded from our church I take no interest. I went to see Mama after lunch. Connie came to lunch & after a confab with her on the question of her quarrel with Edward I went to talk the matter over with Blanche—& then hastened back to tell the result to Connie. I met John Murray at our door & walked with him to No 17 where he called on Mama– Eda went to church with Nurse in afternoon while I took charge of Henry.
