25 August 1890 — Lucerne | |
Monday. 25th [August 1890]. Breakfasted in my bed room & directly afterwards to Hotel National thro’ the rain to ask about rooms & found none the bad weather prevents people leaving. We had to go out to the Hotel Restaurant for luncheon & then got back as soon as we could. Henry better but feeble. I went out again in the afternoon abt the rooms but still none to be had. I went as far as the bridge to buy a book to read aloud to Henry. Found Mr Henfrey called on him on my return. He spent some time talking. Out again to dinner in the rain. | |
