Sunday. 31st [August 1890]. Pouring wet day. I went to the church in Mr Henfrey’s garden with Rina. Lunch at 1.30. Read aloud to Henry. Worked. Read again in afternoon– No going out. Wrote letters. Patience. Recognised a Mme Varé, English lady, widow of Italian deputato. | |
