Richard & the Du Cane girls returned from Vescovana at 3.30. I did not go out this afternoon. Henry took Mama out & I rested & practised the guitar. In the evening we had the Rubinstein trio & Stella Dyer played magnificently. She played a Zapateado of Sarasate wh she learnt for the occasion & wh astonished every one. The Edens, Alwyne Comptons, Curtis &c came to hear her & all were enchanted– | |
