13 October 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 13th [October 1890]. Busy morning, stores &c– Wrote letters, accounts &c. After lunch Mrs Dyer & Stella came to see our pictures. I sat with the mother in the belvedere working till past 3—then took her out also Ruth & Henry. We went to the Piazza & all got out & walked. I left Henry with Mama & Ruth & I went to Tropeani to shop & then rejoined them & came home. Tea in the hall– The Du Canes all went to be photod in the morning & walked in the afternoon. Rich. & Ola went to tea with the Brownings & we left Ruth there. Nela & Daisy & Mama had tea with me. | |
