18 October 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 18th October [1890]. Richard & Daisy went off by the 9 oclock to Milan & breakfasted at 7.30. The other girls went to see them off & returned to breakfast. Nela began to draw her still life. I wrote letters—worked &c. The weather a little changeable & rather cold. Went out in gondola after lunch with Mama, Henry & Ola– They left me at Css Canevaro to pay her a visit. Henry & Ola got us to drop them at home & the Mother & I went on for a little giro. Home for tea. Read aloud to Henry. Carry came to invite Henry & Ola to hear Stella play at their house this evening. So they went at 9. I played patience & talked to Mama; bed at 10.30. | |
