11 December 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Thursday. 11th December [1890]. Splendid weather, bright & cold. Passini came to work. I & Nela painted till 12 when I practised with Ola. Lunch at 1.30. Henry walked to the Piazza with the 2 girls. I went leaving cards & fetched him home. The girls went to see the Montalbas but returned for tea. I wrote letters– On my way home I went to see Mrs Browning who was laid up in bed. We all 4 dined with Mr & Mrs Eden & met Mr Jameson & Mr Curtis, Mme Noce, the Admiral & Mr Moore & Edith Bronson came in the evening. Weather threatens change.
