6 January 1891 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Tuesday. 6th January [1891]. Henry still feels chilly & feverish. He sat in my room in his great fur coat. It snowed hard all day & there was no going out. Practised guitar. Read aloud & finished Tartarin. After dinner we had the mandoline practise Mme & Mlle Stefani, Mr Browning, Ola & I conducted by Trombini—Edith Bronson did not come. A good practise. Henry went off early to bed—Ola does not seem very well–
