18 January 1891 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 18th [January 1891]. Dull and very cold. I modelled wax in morng. It cleared up in afternoon & Henry went out with me. We could not walk in Piazzetta on account of the bitter wind, so we went round the Piazza. There was no service at our church on account of the rebuilding of the heating apparatus. I called on Pss of Montenegro. It was her “day.” | |
