20 January 1891 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 20th [January 1891]. Still very cold—but bright. Henry still kept in by his cold. I went out after lunch. Called on Css Sormani—her “day.” Also on Css Persico—her day– Dss della Grazia & her girl came to tea with me. I arranged for a band practise tomorrow night—& after dinner Trombini came in to settle it with me– Sat in my bed room in eveng as it was warmer. | |
