22 February 1891 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 22nd February [1891]. Nela & I went to morning church & the organ was used for the 1st time & the service was very well done. I went again in the afternoon & then joined Henry & Nela at the Piazza & with them went to tea with the Edens– Read aloud to Henry for 2 hours before dinner. Arranged about packing & went early to bed– Nela retired to bed in tears in the middle of dinner! | |
