We found a very full train & I & the girls got into the “Signore sole” carriage & I was at once addressed by my name—& found the lady was Miss Green late governess to the Empress Frederick’s daughters– She is travelling with a young lady & on her way to Venice for a few days. We got home abt 3– Had some tea & dressed. At 5 a visit from Mr & Mrs O’Conor—H.M. Minister at Sofia. He was once Henry’s secy at Madrid & has since married. Lady Henry Somerset, her boy & Mr Pollen dined with us. A sudden burrasca came up in the eveng. It lasted a very short time but it cleared the weather.
