24 April 1891 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 24th April [1891]. Woke with a headache. Nela came to my bed & breakfasted with me. I finished reading to Henry the last chapters of Murray’s Publisher & his friends before I got up. Arranged to packed. At tea time had a large collection of friends to bid me good bye, Della Grazias, Valmarana, Montenegro, Hurtado, Mocenigo &c &c Mr Malcolm & Mr Brown dined with us but I was too ill hardly to speak to them & had to go to bed directly after dinner. Henry took Ola & Nela to a musical party at the Pss of Giorgio’s. Ida Belmondo dined with us also. | |
