25 June 1891 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Thursday. 25th June [1891]. Alice Murray went out to lunch– Henry drove out with me & I brought him a fur coat for winter & made him a present of it. He went down to the Club on foot & I went to meet Alice & took her for a drive. I went to see Mrs Kay & was lucky eno’ to find her. Then went to Mrs Pratten’s to show her my double stringed guitar—& she depresses me by saying it is no use for playing & is merely a curio. Went to dine with Lord & Lady Eustace Cecil—a large dinner & hardly anyone I knew. | |
