4 August 1891 — Motcombe House, nr. Shaftesbury, Dorset | |
Tuesday. 4th August [1891]. Left Motcombe by 10.50 train from Gillingham & went to Talygarn to stay with Mr Clark. It is a fatiguing journey as we had to change 4 times—at Templecombe—Bath—Bristol & Cardiff. We reached there abt 6. Had tea & rested till dinner at 8. There was only a cousin Miss Nina Lewis staying with Mr Clark & Blanche. We played Halma & backgammon in evening. | |
