22 August 1891 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Saturday. 22nd August [1891]. I breakfasted in bed. Henry is all right again. My maid Rosa started off by 11 A.M. train for Lucerne. Ivor Guest & Ld Blandford came to see Henry & said they had stayed (& Cornelia) at Ca’ Capello the other day & had enjoyed it. Connie came to see me as she was up in town with Cornelia for a night. Mama came to bid us good bye. We lunched at 1—& abt ¼ past 2 a cab drove up with Kate in it. She was up in town for the day & called on the chance of finding us. Felicia joined her—but we had a very short time together as we had to go to Charing X station & left by the Club train. We had a very good passage & from Calais did not leave the train till Lucerne. Had an excellent dinner & got a large compartment for the night & so slept well.
