9 September 1891 — Villa Pisani, Vescovana | |
Wednesday. 9th September [1891]. Henry & I had our breakfast under the pergola in the front of the house & sat reading & working there until the Css came down. She & I walked in the garden looking at all her improvements & new flowers & sat in the arbour till 12 o’cl breakfast– There we sat in front of the house till 4 o’cl tea talking. Went for a drive at 4.30—Henry & I in open carriage—she in her brougham. Went to see the people gathering maize & home to dinner at 7.30. | |
