16 September 1891 — La Punta, Longarone | |
Wednesday. 16th [September 1891]. Called at 7.30. Breakfast at 9.15. Wrote letters till lunch at 1. A storm in the distance & it rained most of the afternoon so that we could not get either a drive or a walk. I went round the garden with our host in the morng. At his desire I wrote offering the Empress Fred: his house at Venice for Octr. Dinner at 7.30. Css Michiel taught us a 2 handed patience in evening. | |
