19 October 1891 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 19th [October 1891]. The weather wet off & on– I painted in morning & after lunch went out in sandolo—with the others in gondola– We went to Rietti’s & Henry bought a lovely green lacquer screen of 4 folds. We then went to the Eden’s garden & had tea with them & I came home in gondola with Henry leaving the young people the sandolo. I wrote letters—& read aloud to Henry. Ida Bel: dined with us—we played a 4 game of Halma. | |
