12 November 1891 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Thursday. 12th [November 1891]. Got up late after Dr Cini had been & we agreed that I was all right again. Wrote a lot of letters before I got up. Did not go out. Made cigarettes for Henry in afternoon– Mr Brown came to tea with me & to talk over the Sailor’s Institute & to ask me to be on the Committee wh I agreed to & said he wished to get rid of his post of secy to it & I recommended him to depute it to Mr Hodgson who has plenty of time to give to it. Mlle Cozzi also came & sat with Henry in my room. We dined at 7 & Henry took Ola & Ruth to the theatre to hear the opera of Romeo & Giulietta. I practised the guitar till bed time.
