28 December 1891 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 28th December [1891]. Henry was much better this morning & got up as usual but as there was still a thick white fog there was no going out. I read to him before dinner & we dined at 7.30 & Isabel Scobell with us– At 9 we had the mandoline band practise to which Mme & Mlle Stefani came—& we worked seriously. Isabel came in the morning to try over her part with me– Ola read aloud while I painted part of the morning. | |
