Tuesday. 26th [January 1892]. I had a bad night being worried abt Miss Sharp & got up after breakfast. Mr Higford arrived at 4.50 AM & came to see Henry abt 12– He arranged for the funeral to be tomorrow at the English Church at 11. After lunch I went out in gondola with Henry. We went to walk in the Eden garden & met him coming away. He said Carrie is still in bed. I called to enquire about Miss Sharp—found she is better. Rosa was still there & Bertha who was still unwell & they were packing up Isabels boxes. An old woman was with Miss Sharp but I heard she did not like her. Mr Fenile hopes to find another. Mr Brown, & Mr & Mrs Browning & Mr Hodgson dined with us & after dinner we had a committee meeting of the Sailor’s Institute & arranged the annual report. Ola dined upstairs with Isabel. Fenile sent word he had found a hospital nurse for Miss Sharp–
