19 February 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 19th February [1892]. I woke with a cold. It was a cold rainy day & at times it snowed– News that Mlle Aspasie was better– Neither I nor Henry went out. I practised the guitar. The funeral service for the Pss of Montenegro was at 2 o’cl at the Greek Church– At that moment it was raining & snowing so we resolved not to go & as Aspasie was ill I did not go to stay with her as I had promised to do. I read again to Henry after tea. Patience in the eveng. | |
