3 April 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 3rd April [1892]. Church in the morng. Very hot day. After lunch Henry, the Hansons & I went to the Eden’s garden wh was full of lovely violets & daffodils & the fruit trees are just beginning to show flower. We sat out & had tea & it was the 1st time this year the Edens had been able to have tea there out of doors. Abt 5 we left & went to take a turn in the Piazza & I wrote my name at the Palace on the D & Dss of Genoa– Home & had a visit from Mme Hurtado & Idita. Also from Ida Bel. Dined at 7.30 & Henry took the Hansons out in open gondola to hear singing on the canal. Hot evening. | |
