4 April 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Monday. 4th April [1892]. Henry, Ola & I left Venice by the 10 o’cl train for Florence taking Regina & John as servants. We had a slow train as far as Bologna– There we changed into the “Lampo” & got to Florence at 7.20 & went to H. Gran Bretagne. We found Nela had arrived the night before under the care of Mrs Henry White & her sister Miss Macmillan who were at the same hotel. Nela in a high state of excitement at coming out to us. We had large rooms on the 1st floor for the night the hotel being full.
