21 April 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 21st April [1892]. I copied for Henry– Sir Henry T. better. Ida Bel came to tea & then Henry, Ida & I took Sir H. out in gondola to the Piazza for a little air tho’ we cd not go without felse. Afterwards we took a turn round by the Giudecca & Sir H. suddenly said he felt sea sick so we got back as quick as we cd to the Zattere whence Ida, he & I walked home. It was a very anxious walk as we feared he might have a giddy fit & fall but we got home all right. Henry took the girls to the theatre. The Bels dined with us & he & I played Halma while Ida amused Sir Henry. | |
