24 April 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 24th [April 1892]. I got through the service all right tho’ I was much alarmed but all went well. After lunch Henry & I took out Sir Henry & Mr Thompson in open gondola. We went to the Eden’s garden. The weather was lovely—a warm sun & a fresh wind. The tulips were in full beauty. We met Mr Hulton, the Misses West & Misses Montalba there. The Belmondos dined with us. It was Ct Belmondo’s birthday & we drank his health. | |
