25 April 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 25th April [1892]. Edith Bronson came at 11.30 to practise the guitar with me & to show me how to play some of the pieces she had learnt with Bosch. She afterwards stayed to luncheon. It was a fine day & Henry started for the Lido in gondola with Ola– Nela was to join them with the Belmondos but a storm of rain got up wh brought all soon back. I went out in sandolo with Sir Henry & Mr Thompson the latter rowing & we had once to take refuge under a bridge. I had a visit after lunch from an old Miss Douglas who stayed some time asking abt lodgings for her friend Lady Harriet Hervey who is coming here. | |
