30 April 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 30th [April 1892]. Still raining but towards 4 the sun reappeared having been invisible since Monday. Sir H. Thompson photod my studio in the morng & then he & I took a walk up & down Piazza S. Polo for ½ hour. After lunch Henry & Ola went off to the Liceo concert wh was a repetition of last night’s. Nela & I went out together in gondola & fetched Ida Bel to tea & after tea we went to the Piazza & took a walk in the sunshine which delighted & warmed us & I bought some fresh flowers & then came home & arranged them. Nela & I went to a party at Mrs Hulton’s to meet the De Bunsen party and where there was some music. Home about 12 & after refreshment in the kitchen to bed. | |
