7 May 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Saturday. 7th May [1892]. I had such a bad night with the noise of the wind & the thunder that I was too tired to get up for breakfast & remained in bed till lunch writing letters. I took Ola & Nela to Css Papadopoli’s for tea at 4.30. She is leaving this week for the country. Met all the society there & remained till abt 6. Came home & read to Henry before dinner. Played Halma with Mr Thompson & beat him, in evening. Nela went with the Buchtolds to Mrs Bronson’s in the evening. It had been windy all day & rained hard at night.
