10 May 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 10th May [1892]. Painted iris all the morning. At 4 o’clock we all excepting Ola went to the Dss della Grazias to play tennis she having got up a party for us. Css Pisani came to see us at 3 & made acquaintance with Sir H. Thompson & she took Ola out with her. We found Mr Curtis, Mr & Mrs Hulton & Miss Crawford at the Palazzo Vendramin & had some very good games. Henry & Sir Hy T. did not remain long. Nela, Mr Thompson & I remained till nearly 7 & returned home in sandolo. Dined at 7.30 & Css Pisani with us. She left early & I accompanied her to her door & then returned home. The girls went out in sandolo. Lovely warm moonlit night. | |
