13 May 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 13th May [1892]. Painted Iris all the morning– After lunch wrote letters. Tea at 4.30. Css Pisani came at 3 & sat & talked & then took the girls out with her. I & Henry went to the Eden garden & came home laden with roses– The Thompsons went out in gondola– Dined at 7.30. Malcolm with us. Had Trios. A Hummel—& 2 of Rubinstein—very fine—hot eveng had the windows open– Dini played cello solos– Mr Hodgson going on well– | |
