19 May 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 19th May [1892]. Woke feeling rather unwell but got out of bed at 7 & dressed to go down to 8 o’cl breakfast to see Sir Henry & Mr Thompson off– But I felt so sick & ill I could only just bid them adieu & rush back to bed again & there had to remain. The Thompsons set off for Milan on their way to London– Ola & Henry took care of the Archepiscopal party & Hatzfeldt & the fiancés dined here. Mrs Maclagan came a moment to take leave of me. | |
