Saturday. 21st May [1892]. I sat again to Passini for my portrait. In the afternoon Henry & I went to the Eden’s garden & took Baby Hatzfeldt with us. There were a great many people there of the Venetian society amongst them the Dss della Grazia & she & I walked about together. The roses were splendid—quite in thousands. We had our C.C. band practise as we are going out to serenade our friends on the Canals on Monday. Henry took the Hatzfeldts out in gondola so they did not hear the noise we made. | |
