27 May 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 27th May [1892]. Woke with a bad headache & very tired & had to remain in bed all day. Just managed to crawl up at 5 oclock to go to dine with the Edens at their garden. Hatzfeldt, Baby, Henry & I. It was delightful there. There was no moon only “Venus” was shining so brightly & the stars were beautiful. We walked round the garden before dinner in the darkness. Hatzfeldt & Baby were delighted. | |
