12 June 1892 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Sunday. 12th [June 1892]. Maria came to fetch me & took me off to church at St George’s Hanover Sqr. It came on to pour as we came away. I went on to enquire abt rooms at Parishes Hotel opposite the church for Css Albrizzi & her girls. We had to come home in a cab. It was very cold & we felt it very much after the heat at Venice. It appears also to have been hot here for the last 3 weeks. Sir Henry Thompson came to tea & brought me proofs of some of the photos he has taken at Venice. We dined at 17 Cavendish Sqr. Maria & Rd also dined there.
