5 August 1892 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Friday. 5th August [1892]. Practised guitar. Ola & Julia Du Cane & Sir Henry Thompson came to lunch. Henry & I went out to shop & went on to see Burne Jones & he received us very kindly. His wife was away but he kept us to tea & took us over his two studios. He is painting a portrait of Lady Windsor not a bit like her—but the pictures he is doing are most charming & poetical. We had a dinner party at home this evening. | |
