15 August 1892 — Duffryn House, Mountain Ash, Glamorgan | |
Monday. 15th August [1892]. We breakfasted at 8.15 & started off to go to Bere to stay with Arthur Guest. Changed at Llancaiach & then at Cardiff had just time to drive from G.W. Station to the Midland Station & catch the train for Bristol. Then changed at Mangotsfield for Bath & then went from there to Templecombe. Had to wait an hour at Bristol so we lunched there. After Templecombe I made myself tea in the tea basket. We changed again at Broadstone & waited an hour there for the Wareham train where we arrived at 5.52. Found a fly for us & we drove 7 miles to Bere Regis just in time for dinner. Nellie Alderson is keeping house for Arthur & Mr Fred: Post is staying here also. | |
