21 August 1892 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Sunday. 21st August [1892]. Went to morning church. Afternoon sat out in the tent. Came in & wrote letters—read. Tea out of doors. Went to eveng church at 6.30. Mr Austin Chamberlain & Mr Gerald Smith came down yesterday to stay. Mr Chamberlain (Joe’s son) is a very charming young man & very like his father even to wearing a glass always in his eye. Miss Green came downstairs after dinner & played the piano. Ivor sang & Francie also played very prettily. Lovely hot day. | |
