6 October 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 6th October [1892]. Mr Sydney Colvin arrived to stay with us. He is the head of the print department of the British Museum & learned– He came from Udine on his way from Aussee. Henry took him out in the afternoon in gondola. I went out in sandolo with Ola shopping. Weather rather damp. Mr Brown & Mr Penrice dined with us. We telegraphed to Countess Pisani to offer to go to her on Sat. | |
