26 October 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. 26th October [1892]. I had to arrange the rooms for the Dyers—make a bed room into a sitting room that Stella might have a room to study her violin. We all went out in the vaporetta after lunch. H.M. had gone to pay Mr & Mrs Curtis a visit & at 3.15 we joined her outside the house & we went off to the Lido & landed at S. Nicoletto & walked to S. Elizabetta. It was lovely weather. I made tea wh we had on the way home– Henry & I dined with Mr & Mrs Eden & met Css Pisani, Marchesa Guiccioli & Mr Browning & in the evening Ola, E. Cadogan, & the 2 Dyers joined us. There were also a few others there. We returned home abt 11. I very tired.
