31 October 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Monday. 31st October [1892]. I remained in bed all the morng to rest myself & finished copying for Henry his paper on the Duc de Rohan. Sir James Lacaita came again after lunch to try & arrange for us to go & pay him a visit at his house at Leucaspide near Taranto. I did not go out this afternoon & was agreeably surprised by a visit from M. Passini at tea time and we met him again at dinner as we dined with Her Majesty. Mr Malcolm was the only other person there. We played a round game with Pss Margaret in the evening & got home abt 10.30. Monty, Sir Domenic & Mrs & Stella Dyer entertained each other in our absence.
